This terms topic is Planting & Sowing.  We have visited the allotment where we planted our potatoes, onions and carrots which when they are ready we can eat for our lunch. The children have been learning about how and where things grow.  We have enjoyed lots of role-play, garden centres, farms, fruit and vegetables shops.  We have had lots of messy play with soil, sand, water and shaving foam. The children made seed pictures, flower collages and various other crafts.

We celebrated Mother’s Day by inviting our Mum’s in to have a cup of tea and a cake made by their children, The Mum’s really enjoyed being made to feel very special and looked after by their children.  The children were also very busy making their Mother’s Day cards and decorating a plant pot each which they planted a flower in for their Mummies.

We have also been learning lots of new rhymes and actions for our Easter Bonnet Parade which will be held on Wednesday 15th April after our end of term holiday.
