Staff and Committee Members
We recognise that working in partnership with parents is key to allowing us to tailor the care and education we offer to your child and ensuring a smooth transition into the learning environment.
Before your child starts Pre-school they will be assigned a Key person and a buddy. Each key person is paired with a buddy to ensure consistent care in case your child’s key person is absent, the buddy will be present.
The role of a key person is to develop a secure bond with their key children to ensure they feel safe and secure at Pre-school.
Your child’s key person will work closely with you when your child first joins to identify what your child knows and can do and from that will observe and plan next steps and focused activities for your child to support their ongoing learning and development.
Read or download our Designated Safeguarding Lead document
Your child’s key person will keep your child’s learning journey updated, giving you a termly development report at parent meetings.
