We have come back after our half term break, refreshed ready for an exciting new term. We started by celebrating Diwali, the children learn about the festival of lights by making their own diwali lamps. They enjoyed the story of prince Rama and his wife Sita. The children also had a go at making rangoli patterns with coloured sand. For snack they tried poppadoms and nan bread with an array of Indians dips.

The children were all excited to talk about the bonfire displays they had been to. They created firework pictures using chalk and glitter to show what they had seen in the sky. We discussed firework safety and finished off with making firework biscuits.
