18/06/2016We have been very busy this term planting all our vegetables in the allotment. We have planted potatoes, onions, butternut squash, peas, carrots, leeks and green beans. The children have visited the allotment to see if anything is growing and to water all the produce. With the weather being nicer we have made the most of it. The children have been playing on our climbing frame, in the tunnels, playing golf, setting up mini-assault courses and just enjoying playing outside. We have celebrated St David’s Day and made Welsh Rarebit which most of the children loved. St Patrick’s Day when we made Soda Bread and enjoyed some Irish dancing. For World Book Day the children came in dressed as their favourite characters and we read some stories. We made some cards for Mother’s Day and each child made their Mummies a potted plant as a present. Some of our Mummies came in and had Coffee and homemade cakes with us. We had our Easter Bonnet parade. All the families came to join us to see the beautiful Easter Bonnets the children made and to listen to all the songs they had been learning all term.
