Easter Holiday Club March 30th- April 10th
10/05/2015Ofsted Report – July 2016
12/12/2016We have had a very busy 1st half-term. We started the term getting ready for The Woodcote Festival. The children baked cakes and biscuits to enter into the competition. We made a Minion scarecrow that won 1st Place in the scarecrow competition!! We entered green beans, leeks and onions that we grew in our own organic allotment and we sold homemade Jam which Wendy made with our own raspberries and strawberries. We entered the tallest Sunflower competition which we grew at the allotment and the children very lovingly went over to water it.
Our topic this term is ‘All about me’ where we will be learning about families, our bodies, keeping healthy and safe.
The children have brought in pictures from home to go in their learning journeys alongside a questionnaire about all their likes and dislikes. We have been using our independent skills to cut up our own fruit and make some fruit salad, which the children said was delicious! We have been trying lots of different exercises, obstacle courses and dancing to keep fit.
We baked a loaf of bread to take to the church for the harvest festival where we were joined by our friends from Woodcote Primary School and The Cabin. The church was very full with lots of children and parents who came along to support us. The children have been practising lots of songs about harvest and were fantastic with their singing.
