Skittles night on the 11th of May was a great success.

With a turn out of 7 teams, we were kept entertained with displays of bowling prowess (or not). Each team, of six players in each, bowled to topple as many of the 9 skittles as possible each time, some with greater success than others. After an inital round, we had a break to tuck into a tasty ploughmans meal and to fill up our glasses at the bar. Another hilarious round was played and ended with the team called  “BOYS” taking the title. “4midable” came in second and in third, the Pre-school staff known as “Pre-School Babes”.

During the break, we had a raffle and were able to hand out prizes ranging from teddy bears, to toiletries, gift vouchers and wine.

We then had a Pound In round of skittles where each person played as individuals for a chance to win a cash prize. After an exciting battle, Wendy was crowned the overall winner.

Thanks to the staff and their families and committee who organised the tickets, set up the the hall, prepared the food, organised the bar and ensured the evening ran smoothly. A special thanks to Sam Peates for loaning us the skittles and for setting them up in the hall.
