What a busy first week back! We came back from half-term to Halloween. The children had lots of fun dressing up in all our Halloween outfits and role-playing a Witches Kitchen with lots of spiders and bugs. We have been investigating with slime and trying to find all the spiders! We had 12 pumpkins from our allotment which the children cut and scooped out all the flesh. We made pumpkin soup, which was delicious and are going to make some pumpkin muffins. They have been practising their cutting skills with a Halloween cutting activity, colouring lots of pictures, counting and sorting. The children have made a big bonfire collage to put up on our display board. The Halloween Parade was a great success all the children came dressed in their scary outfits and were wonderful remembering all the songs and actions we have been learning last term. It was lovely to see all the families coming to support us and the children.
